Syndera Adds Andy Ludwick to Board of Directors
Industry Heavyweight Ludwick Brings Invaluable Experience to Syndera
REDWOOD CITY, CA - May 12, 2003 - Syndera Corporation, Inc., appointed Andy Ludwick to their Board of Directors, joining existing board members Mark Hildebrand of Onset Ventures, Erik Lassila of Clearstone Venture Partners and Syndera CEO Prashant Gupta. Mr. Ludwick brings extensive experience as a successful business leader to Syndera as the company moves to address critical software issues in enterprises.

Mr. Ludwick was the co-founder of SynOptics Communications and the former CEO of Bay Networks. As CEO of SynOptics from its inception, Mr. Ludwick grew the company from a startup to $700M in annual revenue. Mr. Ludwick continued to serve as CEO of Bay Networks, an internetworking company formed in 1994 by the merger of SynOptics Communications and Wellfleet Systems, from 1994 to 1996, when Bay Networks grew from $1.2B to $2.0B in annual revenues. Bay Networks was acquired by Nortel Networks. Prior to founding SynOptics, Mr. Ludwick was with Xerox Corporation. He received a BA degree from Harvard College ('67) and an MBA from the Harvard Business School ('69.) In 1996, Mr. Ludwick was awarded Harvard Business School's prestigious Alumni Achievement Award for his entrepreneurial success. Mr. Ludwick serves on the Dean's Council of Harvard College, and is a member of Harvard University's COUR. He serves on the Board of Directors of Foundry Networks and is also a director of the Santa Rita Foundation, a private non-profit charitable organization.
